Hidden Gem Retro Mini Review: Survival Kids (1999 Game Boy Color) by Konami. The game is also known as Stranded Kids in Europe. I recently started replaying this game again and reignited my love for it. This game is if The Legend of Zelda and Rust had a baby. You have Zelda like controls in the familiar top down 2D world. But it is a full on survival game where you have to eat/drink, scavenge for supplies, food goes bad, weapons/items degrade and you find spots to rest. You have to hunt, craft and gather your way to survival after crashlanding on a deserted island. The game isn't on rails so it gives you freedom to play it as you see fit. Survival Kids is a lot of game packed into a Game Boy Color sized package. It's a gem that I highly recommend playing.
